St Kitts is getting hot.

St. Kitts is emerging as one of the fastest-growing travel destinations in the world, according to new data from British Airways Holidays, signaling rising momentum for the eastern Caribbean island ahead of the 2026 travel season.

The destination has been ranked second globally in the airline’s newly released Travel Trends Report, which tracks year-over-year growth in holiday search demand. British Airways Holidays reported a thirty-one percent increase in searches for St. Kitts in 2025 for travel taking place in 2026, placing the island among the top “Rising Stars” worldwide.

The annual report is widely viewed within the industry as a forward-looking benchmark, using large-scale search and booking data to identify destinations gaining the most traction among British travelers. This year’s findings suggest a notable shift in consumer interest toward destinations offering authenticity, nature, and culturally rooted experiences — an area where St. Kitts has been steadily investing.

Tourism officials say the growth reflects a combination of targeted marketing in the United Kingdom, improving air connectivity, and a tourism product that blends heritage, cuisine, landscape, and upscale hospitality. St. Kitts has increasingly positioned itself as a destination for travelers seeking immersive Caribbean experiences rather than mass tourism.

“We are incredibly honoured to see St. Kitts recognized by British Airways Holidays as a premier Rising Star for 2026,” said Kelly Fontenelle, Chief Executive Officer of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “A thirty-one percent increase in search interest is a testament to the success of our strategic marketing efforts and our commitment to showcasing the unique, multifaceted soul of our destination. This surge in demand highlights that St. Kitts is no longer a hidden gem, but a top-of-mind destination for travelers seeking authenticity and adventure.”

The ranking places St. Kitts near the top of emerging travel preferences for British holidaymakers, a market that has long been important to Caribbean tourism. British Airways Holidays remains one of the United Kingdom’s leading tour operators, making its search data a closely watched indicator for future demand.

The recognition comes at a pivotal time as St. Kitts continues to expand its tourism offering with an emphasis on sustainability, culinary development, and high-end resort experiences, while preserving the island’s cultural identity.
