Royal Caribbean Is Planning Another Big Expansion, Including New Ports And Beach Club Stops
Each new cruise season reflects a simple question: how many ways can travelers reach the Caribbean, and how efficiently can they move between islands once they arrive? Royal Caribbean’s newly released 2027–28 program answers that question with scale. The company has opened a wide network of routes across the region, supported by 13 ships and a growing set of beach destinations designed to anchor more frequent, more flexible itineraries.
Beginning in April 2027, Royal Caribbean will deploy ships from eight homeports including Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Port Canaveral, Tampa, New Orleans, San Juan, Cartagena and Colon. The offerings range from three-night weekend departures to nine-night regional circuits, covering the Western, Eastern and Southern Caribbean along with high-traffic stops such as Perfect Day at CocoCay, the Royal Beach Clubs in Paradise Island (which is actually opening this month) and Cozumel, and the new Port Samaná in the Dominican Republic.
The company also confirmed that Perfect Day Mexico, one of its most anticipated projects, is slated to debut in late 2027 with further details expected next year. Royal Caribbean says the expanded portfolio is designed to give travelers more choice during peak family seasons and more island-hopping options throughout the year.
