Dominican Republic Airline Arajet Launches Boston-Santo Domingo Nonstop Flights

Dominican Republic-based carrier Arajet has added another key link to its growing United States network with the launch of new direct service between Santo Domingo’s Las Américas International Airport and Boston Logan International Airport., Caribbean Journal has learned.

The flight represents the airline’s sixth U.S. route inaugurated this year, underscoring the rapid expansion of the Dominican Republic’s flag carrier in the North American market.

Boston is one of the most important diaspora hubs for the Dominican Republic, home to an estimated 200,000 Dominican nationals. The new service is expected to strengthen family travel, support returning residents and deepen the long-standing cultural and economic ties between Boston and Santo Domingo.

Arajet marked the inaugural flight with an event at Las Américas International Airport, highlighting Boston’s strategic relevance in the airline’s expansion plan.

The carrier continues to build a route map centered on high-demand corridors.

The Santo Domingo–Boston route is the latest step in Arajet’s effort to broaden its presence across the northeast United States, a region that remains one of the strongest outbound markets for the country.

Boston has been an increasingly important source market for Caribbean travel in recent years, particularly to popular destinations like the Dominican Republic and Aruba, among others.

With Boston now added to its portfolio, Arajet closes the year with six new U.S. routes, reinforcing its position as one of the fastest-expanding carriers in the Caribbean and strengthening Santo Domingo’s role as a regional aviation hub.
