Princess Cruises has officially begun a new chapter on Florida’s Space Coast, welcoming its first Royal-Class ship, Sky Princess, to homeport in Port Canaveral for a full season of Caribbean sailings — one of a growing number of ships now calling the port home.

The 3,660-guest ship arrived at Cruise Terminal 6 this morning, marking the start of six- and eight-day itineraries that will run through Mar. 2026. The cruise line has already confirmed a return for a second season from Nov. 2026 through Mar. 2027, with all voyages now open for booking.

Princess’ move strengthens Port Canaveral’s fast-growing position as a major Caribbean gateway, particularly for travelers who can reach the port by car, via Orlando International Airport, or on the cruise line’s Rail & Sail program in partnership with Brightline.

“Building on the success of our inaugural Caribbean season from Port Canaveral, we’re delighted to return to the Space Coast for another series of sailings,” said Jim Berra, Princess Cruises’ Chief Commercial Officer. He noted that the convenience of Central Florida departures has resonated strongly with guests, adding that the arrival of Sky Princess brings expanded capacity and “even more ways for guests to enjoy the Princess experience.”

Itineraries this season span some of the region’s most sought-after destinations, with routes that can be combined into 14-day voyages visiting Turks and Caicos, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Amber Cove, and additional ports across the northeastern Caribbean.

“Princess Cruises is a valued partner and we’re very proud of the success they’ve had sailing from our Port,” said Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray. “Sky Princess is a great addition to the lineup of cruise options from Central Florida. We look forward to delivering a high-quality guest experience for everyone sailing on this stunning new ship.”

At 141,000 tons, Sky Princess is among the cruise line’s most contemporary Royal-Class vessels, known for elevated dining, large entertainment venues, and suites and staterooms designed for modern Caribbean cruising.
