Bahamas Signs $10 Million Contract for New Long Island Airport Terminal

The Bahamas government signed a $10 million contract for a new international airport terminal on Long Island, advancing a key component of its Family Island Airport Renaissance Project as the Out Islands see rising tourism demand and sustained economic growth.

The agreement, finalized Friday at the Office of the Prime Minister in Nassau, authorizes construction of the Long Island International Airport Terminal at Deadman’s Cay. The project will be built by Presur Construction Limited at a cost of $10.94 million, inclusive of VAT, with work set to begin immediately and conclude within 18 months.
