The Curaçao Tourist Board has officially opened the Curaçao Information Center, a new resource designed to assist both cruise passengers and stayover visitors with information on attractions, accommodations, dining, transportation, and events across the island.

The center is located on Handelskade, directly across from the ferry terminal in downtown Willemstad. It was officially inaugurated by Curacao’s Minister of Economic Development Roderick Middelhof and CTB Managing Director Muryad de Bruin.

As part of the tourist board’s sustainability initiatives, the information counter is made from recycled plastic and the interior benches from recycled wood. The center is also part of Club 17 Curaçao’s Water Refill Program, giving visitors the opportunity to refill reusable bottles and track the number of plastic bottles saved through the initiative on a display inside.

The exterior of the building features a large, colorful mural by local artist Deidre Polonius, depicting Curaçao’s iconic architecture, beaches, marine life, and cultural heritage. A new Politur office has opened next door to support safety in the area and includes an H2 Care Medical Service unit to provide on-site medical assistance.

The Curaçao Information Center has been operating informally since June and has already served a steady stream of tourists. It is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will extend its hours during cruise season, holidays, and special events.
