Disney Destiny is ready for action.

Disney Cruise Line has officially welcomed its newest ship, the Disney Destiny, following a christening ceremony at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.

The 144,000-gross-ton vessel is the third in the company’s Wish-class series and will begin sailing four- and five-night itineraries to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean on Nov. 20.

Onboard Highlights

The ship draws on stories of Disney heroes and villains, with design details inspired by Hercules, The Lion King, Frozen, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Marvel’s Black Panther. Highlights include a Broadway-style stage production of Hercules, an interactive family dining experience inspired by The Lion King, and a Marvel-themed restaurant that blends live entertainment with visual effects.

Adults-only spaces include a Doctor Strange–inspired lounge and a venue designed around Cruella de Vil, while families can explore character meet-and-play zones, kids’ clubs, and a Mickey Mouse-themed water coaster. The ship also features a reimagined upper deck with new pools, dining options, and the line’s signature fireworks at sea.

The christening ceremony included performances from Disney musicals and remarks from company executives Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, and Joe Schott, President of Disney Signature Experiences. Broadway performer Susan Egan — the original Belle in Beauty and the Beast and the voice of Megara in Hercules — served as godmother and delivered the ceremonial blessing.

Beyond the ship itself, Disney Cruise Line marked the occasion with a new community initiative, “Discover Your Destiny,” created in partnership with schools in Florida and The Bahamas. The program introduces students to careers in live entertainment and production through mentorships and workshops with Disney professionals.

Fleet Expansion Ahead

The Disney Destiny joins sister ships Disney Wish (2022) and Disney Treasure (2024) as part of Disney Cruise Line’s expansion. The company plans to grow its fleet to 13 ships by 2031, including the Disney Adventure based in Singapore and a new ship class debuting in Japan in 2029.

Pricing and Itineraries

Disney Destiny will sail from Fort Lauderdale on four- and five-night itineraries to Nassau and Castaway Cay, as well as several Western Caribbean routes that include Cozumel. Early 2026 sailings are priced from approximately $1,500 per person for an inside stateroom based on double occupancy, with verandah staterooms averaging around $4,600 for a family of four. Deluxe oceanview accommodations for two adults on inaugural sailings start near $4,000.
