One week after Hurricane Melissa’s historic impact across Jamaica, The Tryall Club has announced a targeted reopening date of Dec. 13, 2025, as cleanup and restoration continue across its 2,200-acre estate near Montego Bay.

The Club, together with The Tryall Fund, remains focused on recovery and relief efforts, prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of its team, guests, and surrounding communities. Most members of the Tryall team have been accounted for, with ongoing efforts to confirm the safety of the remaining staff. With travel and fuel limitations still affecting the island, many employees are staying on-site, where the Club has established temporary housing and provides daily meals and essential support.

Preliminary assessments indicate damage to core facilities and select villas, though all can be restored. Cleanup and landscaping work are underway, and progress continues as power and utilities are gradually restored across the region.

Given the Club’s unique structure — a collection of individually owned villas supported by shared resort amenities — the assessment process has been comprehensive. The property has evaluated not only each villa but also its golf course, spa, and restaurant to ensure a complete reopening that preserves the hallmark Tryall experience.

When it reopens in December, The Tryall Club plans to welcome guests back to its signature blend of luxury and Jamaican hospitality, continuing its legacy as one of the island’s most distinguished villa communities
