Azamara Cruises Is Adding a New Destination: Bimini
Azamara Cruises has unveiled its Winter 2027-2028 itineraries, with new routes across the Caribbean and The Bahamas that reflect the line’s signature focus on longer stays and deeper destination experiences. The season runs from Oct. 16, 2027 through Apr. 28, 2028, featuring more than 150 late nights and 60 overnight calls across the brand’s four-ship fleet.
Among the highlights for the region is the introduction of Bimini in The Bahamas as a new maiden port, marking Azamara’s first-ever visit to the island known as the sport fishing capital of the world.
The stop will give guests the opportunity to explore Bimini’s historic sites, laid-back beaches, and crystal-clear waters, while experiencing the destination’s more authentic, local side after the day visitors have departed.
The new season also includes returns to several Caribbean favorites, with extended port calls designed to give travelers more time to explore each island’s food, culture, and nightlife. Azamara’s smaller ships — each carrying fewer than 700 guests — allow for access to more boutique ports across the region, including those not typically visited by larger vessels.
Azamara’s hallmark Destination Immersion concept remains at the center of its Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries. Guests can expect late-night departures and overnight stays that create opportunities for more meaningful, unhurried experiences — from sunset beach dinners and live music in port towns to cultural tours guided by local experts.
With its mix of new destinations, returning favorites, and flexible, combinable voyages, Azamara’s upcoming season continues to strengthen its position as a leader in small-ship exploration
