Saint Lucia is getting a significant airlift boost just in time for the peak winter travel season.

JetBlue will be adding a second weekly nonstop flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Saint Lucia, operating on Saturdays from Nov. 22 through January. The new service supplements JetBlue’s existing daily flight from New York, a key gateway for the island’s growing visitor market.

The added rotation reflects the strong momentum Saint Lucia has been seeing from the U.S. travel sector. JetBlue is one of the most important carriers for the island, and increased capacity during the busiest travel months signals continued demand for Saint Lucia’s mix of natural beauty, upscale resorts and adventure experiences.

Tourism arrivals from the U.S. have been slightly rising this year, with travelers drawn by Saint Lucia’s signature twin Pitons, lush rainforest, hot springs, and some of the Caribbean’s most sought-after luxury hotels and villas.

The additional Saturday flight is expected to make it easier for travelers planning shorter winter getaways as well as weeklong escapes.

Air connectivity has been a central focus for Saint Lucia’s tourism strategy, particularly from major U.S. hubs. The added JetBlue flight gives the island a stronger position heading into the high season, with increased options for both leisure travelers and the luxury segment.

The expanded service begins Nov. 22 and runs through the end of January, one of the most popular travel periods of the year for Caribbean-bound travelers.

Must-Do Experiences in Saint Lucia

A trip to Saint Lucia is never just about the flight. It’s about the experiences that define the island. One of the most unique is the famous drive-through volcano in Soufrière — a surreal landscape of bubbling mud pools and steaming vents where you can actually drive into the caldera.

The Piton Mountains — the iconic twin volcanic spires rising over the sea — are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see. Many travelers take a guided hike or enjoy the view from a catamaran along the coast.

Up north, the lively Rodney Bay area is a hub for dining and nightlife, with restaurants serving everything from fresh seafood to Creole classics. It’s also home to Bay Gardens Resorts, the fantastic family-owned hotel portfolio.

For something sweet and unexpected, the chocolate experience at Hotel Chocolat brings travelers into the heart of Saint Lucia’s cocoa heritage — from bean to bar — on a working cacao estate with sweeping Piton views.

With more flights, new ways to arrive, and timeless island experiences, Saint Lucia is ready for a strong winter season.
