AMAI is the hottest new addition to Cancun.

DJ sets. Champagne. Carnitas. Repeat. It’s the hottest new beach club in Cancun. But it’s not where you expect.

Because the newest addition to Cancun’s resort scene isn’t a hotel — it’s a space designed to carve out a different kind of experience. AMAI Beach Club has opened on the Caribbean shoreline, offering an adults-only environment built around coastal design, curated dining and a more social, grown-up vibe inside Hilton Cancun, an All-Inclusive Resort.

What’s interesting is that it’s not just for guests, either. While it’s free for guests, it’s open to the public, with anyone able to purchase a day pass to spend their day at the club.

The standalone venue signals how major all-inclusive properties in the region are creating more targeted spaces for different kinds of travelers — particularly adults seeking a quieter, more elevated beach experience without leaving the resort.

A First for the Resort

Access to AMAI is included for hotel guests through the concierge. Day passes for non-guests are available through ResortPass, which also includes parking, towels and credit toward food and beverages. Families staying on property can use the Kid’s Club, which helps maintain the club’s adults-only atmosphere.

“AMAI Beach Club is more than an adults-only venue,” said Felix Schlokat, General Manager of Hilton Cancun, in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal. “It’s an experience designed to celebrate connection and relaxation. We wanted to create a space that seamlessly blends the beauty of the Caribbean with a sophisticated Mediterranean-Mexican ambiance.”

Design and Culinary Focus

The club’s aesthetic draws from the coastline, with seafoam greens, aqua blues and terracotta tones paired with locally inspired artwork and artisanal details. A central 360-degree bar serves as a focal point, with seating for up to 130 people.

Executive Chef Ruben Ruelas has crafted a menu built around ingredients from the Yucatán Peninsula. Dishes include Charred Octopus, Habanero Spicy Tuna and Carnitas de Lechon, with rotating seasonal options. Partnerships with Moët & Chandon and Volcan De Mi Tierra Tequila are planned to further develop the culinary program.

From Day to Night

AMAI operates daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Daytime programming features live music and light entertainment, while sunset brings DJ sets and live saxophone performances.

The opening adds a new layer to Hilton Cancun’s broader offering, which includes twelve dining concepts, a spa and wellness program, and family-friendly amenities. It also reflects a growing trend across the Caribbean toward adults-only spaces that balance resort-wide energy with more intimate, curated experiences.

AMAI’s debut is part of a new movement toward a different kind of all-inclusive resort in Cancun.
