The All-Inclusive Club Med Punta Cana Has a New Look, With Fresh Rooms, a Casita-Style Bar, and a “Food Club”
Club Med Punta Cana, the flagship North American resort of Club Med, has officially unveiled a sweeping new renovation that signals a more elevated direction for the brand’s Caribbean experience.
The project introduces a reimagined arrival area, newly designed rooms, a transformed dining concept and enhanced social spaces, all aimed at creating a more immersive and sophisticated stay. It’s one of the most ambitious upgrades to the Punta Cana property in years.
At the heart of the transformation is the Buena Vista Lounge, a 360-degree open-air welcome space framed by lush tropical landscaping and a panoramic ocean view. It’s intended to be a focal point for guests the moment they arrive — part lobby, part gathering place — and a clear statement of the resort’s refreshed identity.
The renovation extends to the Costa Del Coco Deluxe Rooms, which have been redesigned to reflect the calm, coastal character of the Dominican Republic. Soft textures, natural tones and private balconies frame views of gardens and sea, while spa-style bathrooms add a layer of understated luxury.
Perhaps the most significant change comes with El Mundo Food Club, the resort’s new main dining concept. The space brings together a collection of international culinary experiences in a single, airy setting designed with breezy Caribbean architecture and a relaxed, contemporary aesthetic. It’s a full redesign of the dining core of the resort, positioning food and drink as a central part of the guest experience.
Other enhancements include the Joia Bar, reimagined in the style of a Dominican casita to serve as both a daytime poolside retreat and an evening gathering place, and a new coffee shop that creates an informal social hub throughout the day.
The design was led by GG&Grace International, a firm known for hospitality projects in destinations across the globe. The renovation reinforces Punta Cana’s position as the brand’s flagship in the region and reflects the company’s push to elevate the all-inclusive model with more thoughtful design and culinary depth.
