Hilton has officially opened the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique, marking the debut of the Waldorf Astoria brand in Costa Rica and the latest milestone in Hilton’s Latin American luxury expansion.

Set along the cliffs of Punta Cacique in Guanacaste with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the resort combines contemporary design with Costa Rica’s natural surroundings and cultural heritage.

“Today we celebrate the opening of a resort that embodies Waldorf Astoria’s commitment to elegant, genuine service and experiences unique to each destination,” said Chris Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton.

The property includes 190 guestrooms and suites, along with 19 private residences. Guests have access to six dining venues, a multi-level pool, dedicated children’s and teen clubs, and a 1,579-square-meter spa and wellness center. The resort also offers nearly 1,000 square meters of event and meeting space.

Residences are available in four- and five-bedroom layouts, fully furnished and delivered turnkey, with homeowners receiving full access to the resort’s amenities and services.

The project was developed by Revolution, Cacique Investors LLC, and Costa Rican developer Garnier & Garnier, with financing structured by GFG Securities LLC. It is part of the larger Punta Cacique community being developed by Revolution Places.

“This project is more than a development; it is a legacy defined by vision, excellence and a commitment to Costa Rica,” said Phillipe Garnier, president and CEO of Garnier & Garnier.

For Steve Case, chairman and CEO of Revolution, the opening represents both a destination and a community: “Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique defines the essence of Punta Cacique: timeless luxury and impeccable service, deeply connected with Costa Rica’s natural beauty.”

With its opening, Hilton further strengthens its presence in Central America, introducing one of its flagship luxury brands to one of the region’s fastest-growing tourism destinations.

It’s the second major Waldorf-Astoria resort in the region, joining the Waldorf Astoria in Cancun.
