Aruba Is Having a Big Hotel Moment, With New Resorts Across the Island
From the debut of the island’s first ultra-luxury resort to a wave of new all-inclusive and boutique concepts, this is the biggest addition of new resorts Aruba has seen in years — a moment that’s expanding what’s possible for where and how you stay on the island.
The core experience hasn’t changed. The island’s iconic beaches, warm breezes, and easygoing charm are as timeless as ever. What’s new is the energy — a fresh generation of hotels that bring new styles, new brands, and new experiences to one of the most beloved destinations in the Caribbean.
Whether you’re returning for the tenth time or planning your first visit, there’s never been a better moment to check in.
The St. Regis Aruba Resort
The long-anticipated St. Regis Aruba is now open on Palm Beach, and with it, the island has officially welcomed its first ultra-luxury resort. This beachfront property brings 152 rooms and suites, a rooftop restaurant by acclaimed chef Akira Back, a sleek signature bar serving the island’s own twist on the Bloody Mary, and Aruba’s first St. Regis-branded casino. The resort is also home to a full-service spa, private cabanas by the pool, and expansive event space, adding a new level of prestige to Aruba’s most iconic beach. Rooms from $809 right now.
Secrets Baby Beach Aruba
In the quiet southern town of San Nicolas, a different kind of resort experience is taking shape. Secrets Baby Beach is the island’s first resort under the Hyatt Inclusive Collection, an adults-only, all-suite retreat set along the sparkling curve of Baby Beach. The resort has 304 suites, including swim-up and ocean-view options, along with multiple restaurants, a café, and six bars — including a music lounge and a swim-up bar. Guests can take part in curated experiences like mixology classes and culinary workshops, or simply soak in the serene surroundings far from the crowds of the high-rise corridor. Rooms from $675.
Joia Aruba by Iberostar
Set on the wide sands of Eagle Beach, Joia Aruba by Iberostar is preparing to open its doors as the brand’s first luxury resort on the island. With 240 upscale suites and a focus on sustainable hospitality, Joia is part of Iberostar’s newest high-end brand, designed to deliver an elevated all-inclusive experience. It’s poised to add a fresh layer of European-style sophistication to one of Aruba’s most beloved stretches of sand — and give returning travelers a whole new reason to stay in Eagle Beach. Rooms start at $341, according to Google Hotels.
Privada Stays
Just a few minutes from Eagle Beach, Privada Stays Eagle is Aruba’s newest boutique hotel — a vibrant, design-forward retreat that blends the comforts of a private stay with the charm of a curated hotel experience. Opened in late 2024 with 56 loft-style suites and plans to expand to nearly 100, Privada offers an intimate alternative to the island’s larger resorts.
Each unit includes its own private plunge pool, a kitchenette, and a furnished terrace, all wrapped in a bold, colorful aesthetic inspired by the island’s natural tones and textures. The hotel centers around a signature “Cool Pool” and sun-drenched courtyard. The best part? All the rooms have their own small pools. Plunge pool units start at $185.
Aruba doesn’t need to reinvent itself — it never did. But with its biggest surge in new hotels in more than a decade, the island is offering more ways than ever to enjoy the beaches, the breeze, and the warmth that have always made it unforgettable. This is a new moment for Aruba — and the welcome is just as warm as ever.
