Delta Airlines Is Bringing Back Flights to a Caribbean Island With World-Famous Chocolate, Stunning Beaches and Authentic Resorts
The beaches (Grand Anse, anyone?) The luxury resorts. The rainforest. The chocolate. Delta Air Lines is making its return to Grenada this winter, with plans to relaunch nonstop service from Atlanta. The route will resume on December 20, 2025, operating daily through April 12, 2026, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.
It will be Delta’s only route to Grenada, an island that has been seeing sizzling growth in recent years.
The flight will connect Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport, offering increased access to one of the Caribbean’s most naturally beautiful destinations — and a destination that has put sustainability at the forefront of its tourism push.
Delta’s return adds momentum to Grenada’s growing winter airlift and reflects rising demand for the tri-island destination of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique.
The daily flights will run through the heart of the winter travel season, making it easier for travelers to plan both holiday getaways and spring escapes.
So what’s hot in Grenada? Hotels, including a pair of very exciting new additions to the Eastern Caribbean island.
New Hotels in Grenada

Silversands Beach House is tucked along the secluded curve of Portici Beach, with a quieter, more intimate counterpart to its Grand Anse sister resort. The property features 28 private suites—either beachfront or perched on the cliffside—each designed with expansive outdoor terraces and soft, minimalist interiors that blur the line between indoors and out.
Guests can dine at Azzurro, the resort’s Mediterranean-Caribbean restaurant, or unwind at the small cliffside infinity pool overlooking the sea. This is a retreat built for solitude and calm, with thoughtful design and discreet elegance at its core. Our favorite? The cool tent-style canopies over the units.
Six Senses La Sagesse, which opened in April 2024, marks the brand’s first foray into the Caribbean. Located on Grenada’s south coast between a sheltered lagoon and rolling green hills, the resort is set across 38 acres of untouched land.
It includes 56 suites and 15 villas—each with private plunge pools and views of the sea or tropical gardens. In keeping with the Six Senses philosophy, the resort emphasizes sustainability — along with a comprehensive wellness program that ranges from spa rituals to waterfall meditation. You can also participate in curated cultural experiences, from chocolate making to rum tastings. This is barefoot luxury with purpose, rooted in place and community. It’s actually the first Six Senses-branded resort in the whole Caribbean, set on one of our favorite beaches on the island, La Sagesse.

Some of our favorite resorts in Grenada
Spice Island Beach Resort sits gracefully along the iconic Grand Anse Beach as a modern oasis of effortless elegance. Boasting 64 suites—34 nestled directly on the beachfront and many with private rock gardens or terraces—the resort has earned its AAA Five‑Diamond status by combining understated architecture with tropical flair. Guests wake in breezy, beautifully furnished accommodations, step onto powder‑white sand, and enjoy all‑inclusive access to tennis, kayaking, spa treatments, and gourmet dining, all delivered with that signature Hopkin family warmth. Our pick? Go for the garden suites with private plunge pools. Our favorite thing? The dining, which is all-inclusive but gives you a different menu every night.
Laluna is a boutique haven of “casual chic,” tucked into the cliffs of Portici Bay just south of Grand Anse, right next door to Silversands Beach House, actually. Designed by noted architects Gabriella Giuntoli and Salvatore Perna, the property blends Balinese, Italian, and Caribbean aesthetics across 16 romantic cottages and a handful of luxury villas. Each accommodation offers private verandas and some include plunge pools, while the resort’s yoga pavilion, Asian spa, and Italian‑Caribbean restaurant combine for a deeply relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Daily yoga, bespoke spa offerings, and tailored island excursions (from guided tours of St. George’s to beach adventures) make this an intimate retreat for those craving mindfulness and understated luxury. We just love this place’s unique personality.

Silversands, the sister hotel to the Beach House, represents a modern take on Caribbean opulence. Its rooms and suites feature floor‑to‑ceiling windows and minimalist decor, drawing the lush outdoors inside. Guests can indulge at one of four restaurants, including the spa‑adjacent Asiatique and scenic Grenadian Grill, or relax at the serene Spa—complete with four treatment rooms, hydro‑suite, gym (with Peloton), and salon. There’s also a great rum bar, too.
Sandals Grenada This resort helped usher in the island’s current tourism boom when it debuted a little over a decade ago. Llocated on romantic Pink Gin Beach, this place epitomizes adults-only, all-inclusive luxury. Suites—including lavish “Skypool” and beachfront honeymoons—are fitted with private infinity-edge plunge pools, wet bars, and soaking tubs, all with sweeping sea views. The resort offers unlimited gourmet dining across ten distinct restaurants, six bars (including swim-up options), and a signature main pool area.
