European Travelers Are Flocking to This Caribbean Island Right Now
Europeans have a favorite Caribbean island right now: Antigua. The beach-filled paradise is the fastest-growing destination among European travelers so far in 2025, Caribbean Journal has learned.
So far, 30,608 European travelers have visited the shores of Antigua and Barbuda, according to the latest statistical review from the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
That represented a 7.7 percent increase over the first three months of 2024, and the fastest growth rate of any destination in the Caribbean among European travelers.

Antigua has also seen a 12.4 percent jump in the US market, according to the data.
It’s not an accident: Antigua and Barbuda has been strategically targeting Europe, and that includes expanded service from airlines like Germany’s Condor to connect the continent with the twin-island hotspot.
It’s a testament to the surging growth the destination has had in the last decade, a trend that has only strengthened since the pandemic.
Plainly, Antigua and Barbuda tourism is hot, and that includes in the countries of Europe.
