Royal Caribbean Is “Amplifying” Two Caribbean-Focused Cruise Ships

By: Caitlin Sullivan - June 19, 2025 - 6:53 pm

Royal Caribbean is making a bold move for 2026, announcing a pair of ship amplifications for Caribbean ships that will bring a new wave of experiences to three of its most popular vessels: Harmony and Liberty of the Seas. As part of the cruise line’s ongoing Royal Amplified program, these upgrades are designed to bring even more thrills, flavors, and escapes to travelers sailing to the Caribbean.

The newly enhanced ships—available for booking now—will debut in spring 2026, joining the reimagined Allure of the Seas and building on what Royal Caribbean calls a record of high guest satisfaction with ship overhauls.

“We’re excited to bring three new amplifications to our fleet in 2026,” said Jay Schneider, Royal Caribbean’s Chief Product Innovation Officer. “The Royal Amplified program gives our guests the best of Royal Caribbean with new-to-class culinary options and experiences, entertainment and thrilling adventures.”

Harmony will receive a vibrant makeover beginning with a new Caribbean-style pool deck, anchored by The Lime & Coconut and a refreshed adults-only Solarium. Dining gets a significant upgrade, with new venues like Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, El Loco Fresh, and Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade joining the existing lineup of over 20 options.

Amplified nightlife will include the largest Casino Royale in the fleet and upgraded accommodations like the Ultimate Family Suite.

After a summer 2026 debut in Europe, Harmony will reposition to Port Canaveral, Florida for 5- and 7-night Caribbean sailings. These include calls on top-rated destinations like Perfect Day at CocoCay and the all-new Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island, opening December 2025.

Liberty’s transformation includes a fully reimagined pool deck with The Lime & Coconut, new private casitas, and an all-new Royal Escape Room concept. Culinary updates span from Izumi Teppanyaki and El Loco Fresh to a new Starbucks café onboard.

For winter 2026, the ship repositions to Galveston, Texas, with Western Caribbean itineraries featuring Royal Caribbean’s upcoming Royal Beach Club Cozumel, slated to open in 2026.

The ships, along with an upgrade to the Alaska-focused Ovation, are the latest to join the Royal Amplified initiative, launched in 2018 to bring next-level experiences to the fleet. The program follows the successful enhancement of Allure of the Seas, and coincides with a broader brand expansion.

Royal Caribbean sails to more than 300 destinations across 28 ships—with four more on the horizon.
