Claudios's at Atlantis.

One of the most highly anticipated culinary openings in the Caribbean this year is now open. Claudio’s Bahamas, the first international outpost of the iconic Claudio’s restaurant in Greenport, New York, has debuted at The Coral, bringing a century-old East Coast seafood institution to the heart of the Bahamas.

The new restaurant blends the legacy of Claudio’s with distinctly Bahamian flavors and design, overlooking the resort’s Water’s Edge Lagoon. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night dining, with the kitchen running until 2 a.m. and the bar open until 3 a.m.

Claudio’s Bahamas is modeled after the original Greenport location, known for its nautical atmosphere and seafood-forward menu. Several signature dishes make the transition to Atlantis, including calamari with preserved lemon aioli, baked clams with smoked bacon and parmesan, and Claudio’s Lobster Roll served on brioche challah with brown butter and lemon aioli.

The Bahamas location also introduces a set of new, island-inspired offerings exclusive to Paradise Island. These include Lobster Mac n’ Cheese with a four-cheese blend and bacon panko topping; Fish Goujons made with Kalik-battered Nassau grouper; Conch Chowder served in a rye bread bowl with smoked bacon and double cream; and Crispy Wings tossed in guava goat pepper sauce. Other menu items include Sticky Ribs with house-made BBQ sauce, Conch Fritters, Veal Milanese, and Shrimp Loaded Fries.

The beverage program is built around classic Caribbean cocktails, local beer, and Claudio’s signature drinks from New York. That includes Captain Claudio’s Bloody Mary, served stacked with shrimp, stone crab, and bacon; the Junkanoo Punch, a rum and fruit juice blend inspired by the Bahamian celebration; and the Miami Vice, served frozen with vodka, strawberry, and coconut slush.

Inside, the dining room’s focal point is a series of fiberglass sailboats suspended from the ceiling — each named after classic island cocktails like the Bahama Mama and Painkiller. The design features a palette of natural wood and ocean blues, with large windows looking out over the lagoon. The restaurant connects to an outdoor patio and gazebo bar, with a shaded terrace lined with string lights and a DJ on weekends.

Claudio’s Bahamas includes two semi-private dining rooms for groups and events and is equipped with large screens throughout the space for live sports and entertainment.

The new restaurant is part of a broader culinary strategy at Atlantis to expand its dining options with established brands and chef-led concepts. According to Atlantis Paradise Island President Audrey Oswell, the launch of Claudio’s strengthens the resort’s positioning as a destination for international dining.

Claudio’s Managing Partner Celeste Fierro said the new opening is “a celebration of heritage and hospitality,” bringing the East Coast institution to the Caribbean for the first time.

Claudio’s Bahamas is now open daily and accepting reservations.
