Riu Resorts’ Next Caribbean All-Inclusive Will Have 700 Rooms, Six Pools and a Prime Stretch of Cancun Beach

A brand-new all-inclusive resort is set to debut this December on one of Cancun’s most iconic stretches of sand.

The Hotel Riu Ventura will officially open its doors on December 6, 2025, bringing a fresh, family-friendly escape to Delfines Beach (“Dolphin Beach”), Caribbean Journal has learned.

The resort marks the sixth RIU property in Cancun and the 23rd across Mexico for the Spanish hotel brand, joining a lineup that includes everything from the Riu Palace Las Americas, to the Kukulkan. It’s a continued expansion in the Mexican Caribbean, where RIU has become a top choice for Canadian travelers seeking sun, convenience, and all-day amenities under one roof.

Set within Cancun’s lively Hotel Zone, the new-build resort features more than 700 contemporary rooms, including family suites and swim-out options. Guests will find six outdoor pools — one with waterslides and another perched on the sixth floor with sweeping sea views — along with access to RIULand and a full schedule of entertainment geared toward families.

Dining options include a mix of global cuisines: Asian, Italian, Mexican, an international buffet, and a beachfront steakhouse. Six bars will keep cocktails flowing day and night, and guests looking for nightlife can join RIU Party events at nearby Riu Caribe.

For those leaning into wellness, the resort also features the RIUFit program and an on-site Renova Spa

The countdown to Cancun’s newest beach escape has officially begun.

It’s the kind of vacation RIU regulars know by heart — cold drinks always within reach, in-room liquor dispensers, a rhythm that moves from beach to buffet to late-night show without missing a beat. It’s easy, familiar, and unmistakably RIU: where the days feel longer, the service moves fast, and the Caribbean sun does the rest.

What about prices? They’re starting at $368 per night; that gets you a double room with a “lateral sea view.” Want a swim-up? That will run you about $445.25. Our take? It’s well worth it for the extra splurge.
