You Can Now Book This Anguilla Resort on Hilton Points

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 8, 2025 - 4:35 pm

The original Anguilla luxury resort, Malliouhana, is now part of Small Luxury Hotels, bringing the storied property back into a major global network a little over two years after its departure from the Auberge umbrella.

One of Anguilla’s most storied resorts has joined a new collection. Malliouhana, the 63-room luxury retreat perched above Meads Bay, is now officially part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World portfolio, according to listings on both Hilton.com and the SLH website.

That means the iconic Anguilla property, now called Malliouhana Resort, an SLH Hotel, is now bookable through Hilton Honors, giving travelers access to SLH’s collection via Hilton’s global network — including benefits like late checkout (where available), exclusive member discounts and points earning through the Hilton Honors program.

It’s the latest evolution for the hotel that first helped define luxury travel in Anguilla when it debuted in the 1980s.

The move also comes after Malliouhana’s departure from the Auberge Resorts Collection in 2023. Since then, the resort has operated independently, preserving its distinct identity while undergoing subtle enhancements under new management.

Set across 25 acres of oceanfront bluff, Malliouhana is known for its breezy, pastel-toned interiors, sweeping views of Meads Bay and Turtle Cove, and a refined but relaxed ambiance. Each guest room features private terraces or balconies, a handful come with private plunge pools. Guests have access to an ocean-facing infinity pool and a full-service spa.

Malliouhana was the first true resort on the island, and almost single-handedly ushered in the tourism age to Anguilla. Its culinary program in large part helped develop the island’s robust culinary culture and abundant restaurant offerings.

The resort joins a growing list of Caribbean properties aligned with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a collection focused on boutique, character-rich stays across the globe.

For Malliouhana, the new partnership brings broader visibility and reach while maintaining the intimate, tailored experience that has always defined a stay here.

And for Hilton Honors members, it’s now easier than ever to book a stay at one of Anguilla’s most legendary resorts.

It’s now the second Hilton-affiliated property on the island, joining the Zemi Beach House resort, which is part of Hilton’s LXR Hotels and Resorts.

If you’re not a Hilton member, you can find rates at Malliouhana for $839 per night right now.
