Montego Bay, Jamaica Is Getting New Flights from Air Canada in December
The beaches. The jerk. The Appleton. The vibes. There’s a bit of everything on Montego Bay, Jamaica, and the destination continues to be very popular with travelers from Canada.
This winter, Jamaica’s biggest hotspot is getting a new nonstop route on Air Canada, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The carrier is set to kick off a new route between Halifax, Nova Scotia and Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport, with a Dec. 4 start date.
The new nonstop route will be running once weekly on Thursdays, the carrier confirmed.
Jamaica welcomed just under 400,000 visitors from Canada last year, which was a 6.2 percent increase compared to 2023.
So what about prices? If you book on Dec. 4 (with a Dec. 11 return date), you can find roundtrip airfare of around $749.17, including taxes, fees and other charges.
That’s if you’re checking one bag.
It’s cheaper in Air Canada’s “basic” class, but you can’t even bring a carry-on bag with you on that kind of ticket.
Planning a Montego Bay vacation? We’ve made no secret of our love affair with the Eclipse at Half Moon resort, which has rooms starting at $447.
If you’re looking for an all-inclusive, the Sandals Montego Bay is the brand’s original Jamaica resort and a very solid option (rooms at $1,254 right now for couples).
