This Luxury Beachfront Hotel in Grenada Is Expanding, With Plans for Six New Suites
One of the top small luxury hotels in Grenada is getting bigger. The Calabash Hotel, one of our favorite places to stay on the Eastern Caribbean island, is expanding, with plans for an additional six suites, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The hotel has tapped Grenadian firm IK Architecture to lead the project, which comes after Calabash transformed 15 of its suites in a previous renovation in 2022 and 2023.
The expansion means a 20 percent increase in room stock, the property confirmed.

The new cliffside rooms “blend seamlessly with Calabash’s signature style, while incorporating modern enhancements to meet the evolving needs of discerning travelers, all while keeping comfort and design at the forefront,” the property told Caribbean Journal in a statement.
What won’t change? Calabash’s commitment to “providing an authentic, world-class experience.”
What do we like the most about Calabash? The beach is absolutely lovely; Rhodes Restaurant regularly makes our list of top eateries in the Caribbean, and the suites with private plunge pools are among the best on the island.
What about prices? You can stay for $963 per night (if you book direct) in June, according to Google Hotels.
