Heading to Cancun or Playa del Carmen from the UK? Virgin Is Bringing Back Its Flights to Cancun.

The strolls down Quinta Avenida. The aguachile in Puerto Morelos. The shopping in Cancun. The Mexican Caribbean continues to show its resilience, with demand holding strong for places like Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya. 

It’s always been a hotspot for British travelers, and if you’re planing a getaway from the UK it’s about to get a whole lot easier. 

This winter, Virgin Atlantic is bringing back its nonstop service between London Heathrow and Cancun, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.

The newly-relaunched service will officially restart on Oct. 19, 2025, according to Virgin. 

The flights will be running thrice per week, with service on Sundays, Fridays and Wednesdays. 

What’s the configuration of the Airbus A350 Virgin is flying? You’ll have your choice from 16 seats in upper class (one of the best in the skies), 56 in business and a total of 325 seats in coach. 

What about the prices? Our analysis showed flights in “economy light” starting at £831.22, roundtrip. 

The flight takes about 10.5 hours from London, and nine hours and 20 minutes from Cancun.
