Rixos Is Opening Its First All-Inclusive Resorts in Cozumel and Cancun
At the end of last year, the first-ever SLS all-inclusive resort opened its doors in the Playa Mujeres of Cancun, a major step for the luxe brand and another sign of the growing demand for luxury all-inclusive resorts.
Now, Ennismore, the company behind the SLS Playa Mujeres, is expanding its all-inclusive footprint in the Mexican Caribbean with two more properties, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The company is brining the Rixos brand, best know for its properties in the Middle East and Asia, to the western Caribbean, with two new resorts in Cancun and on the island of Cozumel, respectively.
Both are rebranded properties, according to Ennismore, which is also transforming a Puerto Vallarta resort into an all-inclusive under the Rixos brand.

Ennismore has not yet revealed which properties are being rebranded.
They’ll join Ennismore’s ALL Inclusive Collection, which has brands including SLS, SO/ and Hyde.
Cancun and the broader region are “central” to Ennismore’s growth plans, according to Phil Zrihen, head of the Americas for the company.
“The arrival of Rixos, a pioneer in the all-inclusive space, creates a clear opportunity to disrupt the traditional model by combining our founder- led lifestyle brands with creative design, destination-led culinary experiences, and standout programming,” he said.
