Beach of the Day: La Sagesse, Grenada

By: Alexander Britell - April 13, 2025 - 12:06 pm

It’s jaw-dropping beauty. The tall, thin palms swaying, the endless expanse of the golden sand. This is La Sagesse, and it’s Grenada’s mystical, almost supernatural stretch of sand.

You walk through the lovely little hotel here (that shares its name with the beach) and find yourself under shade of the trees, looking out at one of those daydream-worthy coastlines.

There’s something about the framing here, the cliffs to your left, the broad, wide crescent that runs all the way around the shore to where now stands the Six Six senses resort.

It’s just about perfect.

The only beach bar/eatery here is the one at the La Sagesse Beach Hotel, and it’s excellent (this beach goes rather well with a glass of Westerhall rum).

La Sagesse is on the southwestern edge of the island; it’s’ about 45 minutes’ drive from the airport. If you’re staying in the Grand Anse Beach area, it’s about 40 minutes.

But when you make the journey here, time is just an idea.

This is a bucket-list Caribbean beach.
