Turks and Caicos Is Making a New Push to Court Canadian Travelers

WestJet flies to Turks and Caicos. Air Canada flies to Turks and Caicos. For years, Turks and Caicos has been a very popular destination for Canadians (and Canadian developers have played a major role in cultivating the tourism industry there). 

Now, Turks and Caicos tourism officials are making a new push to draw travelers from Canada, which remains “a key source market for the Turks and Caicos Islands,” according to Trina Adams, CMO of Experience Turks and Caicos. 

Adams was part of a recent high-level mission to Toronto aimed at deepening relationships with local agents and travelers. 

That included a trip to the Canada Outdoor Adventure show, highlighting TCI’s broad offering in soft adventure, from bonefishing to kayaking to birding and kiteboarding (Long Bay, anyone?)

The idea was to highlight the “diverse experiences that set Turks and Caicos apart, beyond the traditional sun-and-sand vacation,” Adams said in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.

WestJet has even lower fares, with roundtrips starting at $295 nonstop in April.
