Luxury cruise line Cunard is bringing its Queen Elizabeth ship to the Caribbean this fall, and now the ship has completed a major renovation project. 

The freshly-transformed, 2,000-passenger Queen Elizabeth is heading to PortMiami for its first-ever Caribbean sailing on Oct. 16. 

That will be a 12-night roundtrip, with stops in destinations like Barbados and Saint Lucia, among others. 

So what’s new on the ship? 

The ship’s garden lounge, pavilion, Queen’s Room and Commodore Club all have a new look, while the outdoor decks have gotten an upgrade, too. 

There’s also a new Pavilion Wellness Cafe, something Cunard had just unveiled on its newer ship, the Queen Anne. It will be a menu focused on plant-based food, along with “sustainably-sourced” protein. 

It’s an “exciting new chapter” for Cunard, the company’s president, Katie McAlister said in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal. 

“With a full season based in Miami for the first time, more guests from the US and around the world can now experience the Caribbean with Cunard’s unique sense of luxury,” she said. 

So what about prices? The inaugural 12-night from Miami has prices as lw as $2,458 based on double occupancy for an interior “Britannia” room. 

For an ocean-view room (about180 square feet), fares start at $2,678 per room.
