The Caribbean’s Hottest Food Festival Just Kicked Off on Paradise Island in The Bahamas
It’s the hottest food festival in the Caribbean right now: the Nassau Paradise Island Wine and Food Festival, which just kicked off at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas.
This year’s third annual edition runs through March 16, with a star-studded lineup of chefs and personalities and everything from wine tastings to culinary workshops.
This year’s chef lineup includes Michael White (whose Paranza is at The Cove resort); Jose Andres (whose Fish by Jose Andres is also at The Cove); superstar Bobby Flay; JJ Johnson, who just opened Fieldtrip at Atlantis; Alon Shaya, behind the popular Silan restaurant within the Atlantis casino; and Kareem Brown, the Emmy-nominated star of Food Network’s Delicious Miss Brown, among others.
The event is cementing the spotlight on the food scene in Nassau and Paradise Island, which has more buzz than just about anywhere in the Caribbean, from its thriving local food movement to legendary eateries from Graycliff to Marcus Samuelsson’s eatery at the Baha Mar.
