Zel, the brand created through an alliance between tennis legend Rafael Nadal and Melia, has officially held the grand opening of its Punta Cana resort, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The all-inclusive resort is set at the former Reserve at the Paradisus Palma Real, with 190 rooms, all of which are suites.
Melia says the property is focused on wellness, with a “Mediterranean spirit” and amenities like rotating fitness event series, a high-tech gym and a spa called AUA.
The dining concepts range from the Japanese-fusion eatery called Nokyo to a wine bar called Silvestre.
There’s also a beach club and something called the Zel Club; the latter “brings together holistic wellness and entertainment,” Melia says.
So what about prices? You can find rooms in March starting at $301 per night, all-inclusive, according to data from Google Hotels.
The property had been in a soft opening since the end of December, as Caribbean Journal previously reported here.
