“Brides Are Loving The Bahamas.” Here are the Best Hotels for a Nassau & Paradise Island Destination Wedding
Weddings on the beach. Junkanoo rush-outs. Daniel Boulud-designed menus. There’s nothing quite like the weddings in Nassau & Paradise Island, and more and more brides are looking to the Bahamian hotspot for their big day.
The Bahamian capital’s offerings continue to evolve every year, too, and the its collection of resorts has something for every kind of celebration, whether you’re looking for a large event or something more intimate. Either way, one thing is clear: it’s a very popular destination wedding spot.
“Brides are loving The Bahamas,” said Tekoyo Bodie, director of catering and events for the Rosewood Baha Mar. “We’ve seen a tremendous amount of demand for weddings in 2025 as couples love the tropical feel of our garden coupled with the exquisitely beautiful scenery of Nassau’s Cable Beach. With this growing demand, we are always exploring ways we can put a Bahamian touch on these events, such as bringing in Junkanoo performers or bringing in local food vendors to provide a taste of the island.”
Joy Jibrilu, CEO of the Nassau & Paradise Island Promotion Board, told Caribbean Journal that Nassau’s continued success in the destination weddings market can be traced to the destination’s ability to incorporate unique cultural offerings only found in The Bahamas.

“There is also a growing demand for Bahamian-inspired celebrations that incorporate local culture, such as Junkanoo rush-outs, traditional Bahamian cuisine, and decor featuring the work of local artisans,” said Jibrilu. “Another trend that has gained momentum is conscious sustainability, with couples prioritizing eco-friendly weddings by choosing locally sourced florals and incorporating fresh, locally caught seafood and seasonal Bahamian produce into their wedding venues, ensuring their big day is both beautiful and responsible.”
So, what are some client trends Jibrilu is seeing with weddings that advisors can make money on?
“An emerging trend with wedding parties includes couples extending their stays and transforming weddings into multi-day celebrations complete with welcome parties and farewell events,” she said. “This allows for guests to experience the best of The Bahamas, immersing guests in the vibrant Bahamian culture.
“Additionally, all-inclusive and customizable wedding packages have surged in popularity, allowing couples to enjoy a stress-free planning experience while still having the flexibility to tailor their celebrations to their unique tastes and preferences,” continued Jibrilu. “In most of our hotels, a wedding coordinator is ready and willing to connect with couples to offer tailored services to help couples plan a seamless event.”
