Frontier Airlines Is Launching a New Flight to the Island of Aruba

By: Alexander Britell - February 27, 2025 - 5:26 pm

Palm Beach. Eagle Beach. The seafood at Zeerover. The street art in San Nicolas. The chef’s table at Ever. There are so many reasons why the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba is one of the most popular places to visit in the Caribbean.

Another one? Airlift. The island has long made airlift a priority, and even after a record-breaking year at Aruba’s Queen Beatrix Airport, the island is adding more new routes to help travelers reach the Southern Caribbean hotspot.

The latest one? A new planned route between the all-important US travel hub of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and Aruba.

It’s the latest expansion for Frontier Airlines, which has been making the Caribbean a priority for most of the last decade, and will start the new route on May 24, Frontier confirmed.

The flight will be operating weekly, with flights every Saturday. As for prices, you can book roundtrips in May between Atlanta and Aruba for as low as $192.36 roundtrip, according to Frontier’s website.

If you haven’t been to Aruba in a while, you’ve been missing out some exciting new hotels, including brand-new openings from Iberostar (the Joia Beach property, with rooms from $1,052 per night) and St. Regis (rooms from $1,129 per night). Another new resort, the Secrets Baby Beach, is making its debut this summer, as Caribbean Journal previously reported.

We also love the island’s best adults-only hotels: the decidedly lovely Boardwalk Boutique Hotel, which actually just went adults-only recently, and has rooms starting at $625 per night in a Coco Casita (colorful, well-designed with a nice little patio and an outdoor shower). We adore this hotel, and fell in love on our last stay at the tiny, beautifully run property.

The other is Aruba’s sustainability leader, the always-popular Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, set on a perfect stretch of Eagle Beach sand. Rooms from $812 in March.

You can also try one of Divi Resorts’ trio of properties on the island, like the Divi Phoenix, which has rates starting at $723.
