Preferred Hotels’ Newest Property Is a Jungle Resort in Panama
Independent hotel brand Preferred Hotel just added a new property in Panama, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The Gamboa Rainforest Resort in the town of Gamboa is the newest member of the collection.,
The jungle hotel, set on the Chagres River, is a 166-room hotel that takes travelers right into the heart of the rainforest.
The property has a pool and several “locally-inspired” eateries.
But the story here is all adventure, from tram rides through the forest canopy to trips to a sloth sanctuary to actually kayaking on the Panama Canal.
So what about prices?
You can book entry-level rooms for about $168 per night, with another $17 in taxes and fees. That gets you a double deluxe river-view room.
Of course, if you’re looking for an adventure resort in Panama, the country’s premier property is the Los Establos resort, an all-inclusive that gives you a different adventure every day of your stay.
