The Dominican Republic’s Best Luxury Resort Is Re-Creating Frank Sinatra’s Legendary Caribbean Concert
It was more than four decades ago when Frank Sinatra headlined the Concert of the Americas: the legendary HBO event at the Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic.
Now, as the property celebrates its 50th birthday, it’s recreating the event with world-renowned Frank Sinatra tribute artist Michael Martocci and his 22-piece orchestra.
The March 1 event will be set in the 5,000-seat amphitheater in Casa de Campo’s Altos de Chavon village, with a one-night celebration of jazz, swing and big-band hits.
“We are excited to be able to transport guests back in time through the revival of such an important piece of Casa de Campo’s history,” Jason Kycek, CMO of Hospitality, Tourism and Real Estate at Central Romana Corporation, told Caribbean Journal.

It was Sinatra who actually inaugurated the opening of the amphitheater, a venue that has played host to some of the world’s top artists.
“We invite music lovers from around the world to join us for this unforgettable evening,” Kycek said.
A group of Dominican musicians will also be joining Martocci, joined by the Antonio Gonzales-led Dominican Bossa project.
Sinatra’s former chief of security, Dick Ayoob, will also be on hand to share memories of the crooner.
It’s more than just one night, though; the weekend will include Rat Pack revival performances, Sinatra memorabilia and a Sinatra-themed Jazz Brunch.
You can find tickets here.
Rates for that weekend start around $2,639 per night in one of the resort’s luxury villas.
