A brand-new boutique hotel is opening its doors in Curacao with help from world-renowned designer Piet Boon, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The new adults-only Art Hotel Curacao is set to debut in March in Pietermaai, the “Soho” of Curacao.
The official opening date? March 15, according to the website of the new 30-room Art Hotel.
The property is the product of a collaboration between local designer Cat Aalbers and the Piet Boon design studio, which has been behind a number of top properties including several in neighboring Bonaire.

The oceanfront retreat will have a fitness center, an on-site eatery, a pool and a Scandinavian fusion restaurant called The Lemon Tree.
Then there’s the art, with local pieces filling up the entirety of the property, and a focus on helping guests immerse themselves in the island’s buzzing art scene.
So what about prices?
The hotel will have rooms starting at $299 per night. That gets you a luxury room with a city view. The property will also have several suites and a penthouse.
