British Virgin Islands Names New Tourism Executive to Lead Marketing Push
The British Virgin Islands has named a new tourism executive, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The BVI Tourist Board has named Natasha Chalwell as its new deputy director of tourism.
Chalwell has been in the industry for nearly two decades, having served most recently as the director of marketing for the British Virgin Islands Port Authority.
She has also previously worked with the Tourist Board, including leading several international marketing campaigns.
That experience should help the BVI Tourist Board as it looks to reclaim its spot as a top regional destination in the post-pandemic period.
In the role, Chalwell will be assisting BVI Tourism Director Clive McCoy in developing marketing strategies, according to a statement.
That includes the creation of an annual marketing plan.
“We are thrilled to welcome Natasha back to the Board. Her wealth of experience and extensive industry knowledge will be invaluable as we work together to shape the future of BVI tourism,” McCoy said in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.
