Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady Just Got a “Glam Up,” With 24 New Luxe Suites
It’s one of the hottest cruise brands going right now: the adults-only Virgin Voyages, Sir Richard Branson’s extremely successfully foray into the cruise industry.
Now the brand’s original ship, which first made its debut in 2021, just got an upgrade: the Scarlet Lady, one which includes some new dining concepts, a new rom concept and other touches like new VIP cabanas and new coffee at the Ground Club Too.
That includes a new evening concept at the Razzle Dazzle restaurant, and a new Chinese-inspired menu.
The new room concept is called RockStar Quarters, and the Scarlet Lady added 24 new RockStar Quarters suites, all with 352 square feet of space, in-room record players and “stocked bars,” among other touches. You also get special access to amenities like the Richard’s Rooftop area.
“We wanted to give our Sailors a taste of the rockstar life and worked with Tom Dixon to design the 78 RockStar and Mega RockStar Quarters. They did such an amazing job, and there’s so much demand – our Massive Suite is often booked a year or more in advance. We’re answering in a big way by adding suites, so more people can live their best lives,” said Nicole Huang, VP of Fleet Experience at Virgin Voyages.
On the wellness front, the ship’s Redemption Spa has added a new couples treatment room.
The ship is now sailing a series of six and eight-night itineraries out of PortMiami, including stops in ports like St Croix, Roatan and Bimini, where the brand has a massive beach club.
So what about price?
You can book a six-night Western Caribbean sailing on Scarlet Lady in April starting at $1,538 for an interior cabin. For a sad view room (including a porthole window) the rate goes up to $1,658 per cabin. If you want your own balcony, that goes up to $2,760 per cabin.
For a Rockstar Quarters suite, it’s $5,520 for the trip, according to Virgin.
