Royalton Just Reopened These Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resorts After a $32 Million Upgrade
One is family-friendly. The other is an adults-only escape. They’re both part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, both set on a beautiful stretch of beach in Punta Cana.
And they both just reopened after a sweeping $32 million upgrade.
The adjacent Royalton Punta Cana and Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana are officially back, having reopened after a major renovation project that first kicked off back in April.
So what do you need to know about the changes to these Punta Cana all-inclusive resorts?
For the Royalton Punta Cana, the biggest change was new-look rooms and suites, along with improved common areas, a sparkling new Diamond Club lounge and an enhanced convention center.
At the neighboring Hideaway, which actually already opened its doors late last month, the rooms got makeovers, as did public spaces across the property.
Both resorts saw an overhaul of their culinary program, from new “flavors” and upgraded bars and lounges with a focus on “handcrafted cocktails and premium spirits,” according to the company.
It’s an exciting change, considering one of Royalton’s biggest strength at its resorts across the region is its design. No matter where we’ve stayed at one of the brand’s properties, we’ve always been impressed with the look and feel of the resorts, from the rooms to the pools.
Royalton has been on a continued expansion and upgrade push in the Caribbean, one that includes the debut earlier this year of its adults-only, elevated CHIC resort concept in Antigua (a property that includes overwater rooms).
So what about prices?
At Royalton Punta Cana, it’s actually sold out for the first week of January. A bit later in the month, you can find rooms for about $481 per night, according to Marriott’’s website.
For Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana, you’re looking at rates of about $800 per night starting in the first week of January.
