Wingo Just Launched a New Flight to Curacao
Colombian carrier Wingo has officially launched its first-ever route between Medellin and Curacao, Caribbean Journal has learned.
It’s the second route to Curacao for Wingo, which already flies regularly-scheduled service from Bogota.
Medellin-Curacao flights are now operating twice every week, with service on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
It’s a boost for a country that is already the largest source market for Curacao in South America, with more than 41,000 visitors coming from Colombia to Curacao so far this year — a 22 percent jump over 2023. \
The South American market continues to be one of the fastest-growing sectors for the Caribbean tourism industry, with more and more flights coming from the continent to the region, including another new flight that just kicked off from Peru to Jamaica.
