The Dominican Republic Just Eclipsed 10 Million Total Visitors. Again.
It seems like every month is another new record for the Dominican Republic of late. And the truth is, that’s precisely what’s been happening. The country’s breakneck tourism growth pace hasn’t slowed down in the last two years, as its record-shattering tourism arrivals have continued.
The latest milestone? The country just welcomed its 10 millionth total (meaning stayover and cruise combined) visitor in 2024, the second straight year — and second year ever — it’s done so.
Overall, the Dominican Republic has welcomed 10,005,800 people so far this year, Tourism Minister David Collado confirmed.
The projection is that the country will also be breaking the 11 million visitor barrier by the end of the year, too.
In November alone, the country welcomed almost 882,000 visitors, 2 percent higher than last year and 54 percent higher than the same period in 2019.
It’s a sizzling total for the Caribbean’s most-visited destination.
