Cruise passengers keep coming to Turks and Caicos. The destination is reporting more than 1 million cruise passengers so far this year, through the first 10 months of 2024.
A total of 1,034,251 cruise passengers have come to the Grand Turk Cruise Center this year, topping the 924,250 passengers that visited last year.
“Grand Turk is on fire,” said Turks and Caicos Tourism Minister Josephine Connolly.
“Grand Turk has certainly seen an uptick in the number of ships and passengers arriving at the Cruise Centre throughout the year.”
Over the last year, the cruise boom has led to $116 million in spending by cruise passengers and crew.
Several new cruise lines have been coming to Grand Turk, too, including Royal Caribbean and MSC.
“As Experience Turks and Caicos seeks to capitalize on the growing popularity of Grand Turk, we are focused on creating new and enhanced offerings for visitors while ensuring our citizens benefit economically, which serves our pillar of inclusive growth,” Connolly said.
