Disney’s New Cruise Ship Just Began Its Caribbean Journey With a Trip to Nassau
It’s the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet: Disney Treasure, which can carry 4,000 passengers and has everything from water rides to a Jungle Cruise-themed lounge.
There’s even a “Plaza de Coco” inspired by the movie “Coco.”
And now it’s officially in the Caribbean. The ship mad its inaugural visit to the uber-popular Nassau Cruise Port, ahead of its official maiden voyage to the Caribbean next month.
“We are thrilled to welcome Disney Treasure to Nassau Cruise Port,” said Mike Maura Jr., CEO of Nassau Cruise Port.
Nassau’s recently-transformed cruise port is projecting a broader boost from Disney this season, with a forecast of 27 percent more calls from Disney ships in 2025 — for a total of 229.
Disney has long had a strong relationship with The Bahamas and Nassau’s cruise port, in particular.
“Disney Treasure is a truly magical vessel, and we are proud to welcome her to Nassau,” Maura Jr said.
