Canadians Can Fly to This Caribbean Island Again Starting Next Spring
Air Canada has officially relaunched its nonstop flights between Toronto and Trinidad, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The service will be returning on May 1, 2025, tourism officials confirmed this week.
The route will operate four times each week and, more importantly, will be year-round.
It’s a boon for Canadian travelers looking to visit one of the more unique places to visit in the Caribbean, from its dynamic food scene to a burgeoning eco-tourism offering.
The return of Air Canada is a “significant moment” for the destination, said Tourism ?Minister Randall Mitchell.
It will mark the first time Trinidad has flown to Trinidad since the onset of the pandemic.
The Toronto-Trinidad flight will be operating on Boeing 737 Max 8 planes with 169 seats.
“We met with Air Canada in several “Routes Americas” event, and at that time there was some uncertainty of the timing of their return. So, today we are very excited about this news. The airline will provide the vital air link, and we look forward to welcoming visitors from the Canadian market back to Trinidad and Tobago with open arms. We encourage both leisure, VFR, and business travelers to take advantage of this direct connection to discover all that our islands have to offer,” Mitchell said.
