There’s a new way to earn points in JetBlue’s TrueBlue program: island hopping around the Caribbean. A new agreement between JetBlue and popular Caribbean carrier Cape Air means you can now earn and redeem TrueBlue points when you fly on Cape Air flights around the region.

You just need to make sure you book the Cape Air flights on JetBlue’s website or app, which you can do thanks to the two companies’ codeshare program.

The two airlines have been working together for 17 years, connecting JetBlue’s sizable network with Cape Air’s markets around the Caribbean. In fact, Cape Air was the first-ever codeshare partner for the New York City-based airline.

The first St Thomas-Nevis flight lands at Vance Amory International Airport last year.

“With our expanded partnership, we are excited to offer even more value to those who live, work, and play in some of the most beautiful vacation destinations in the world,” said Lisa Shivdasani, Cape Air’s senior vice president of airline partnerships and commercial, in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.

Cape Air’s codeshare means you can book a flight from cities JetBlue operates in directly to one of its Caribbean destinations like Vieques, Anguilla or St Thomas, among others, sending your luggage all the way through to your final stop.
