It’s long been the home of one of the greatest dining experiences in the Caribbean: Eric Ripert’s Blue by Eric Ripert, set within the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman resort.
Now, after an “extensive renovation,” the restaurant is reopening again, with a grand reopening gala on Nov. 15.
Ripert himself will be in attendance for the event, which will kick off the redesigned space and some updates to the culinary program.
So what’s on the menu? You’ll find new dishes like lightly seared hamachi with Asian pair and kimchi emulsion, or butter poached lobster with ancho Chile-dashi broth.
Every course at Blue “celebrates the natural bounty of the Cayman Islands,” the resort says.
The Ritz-Carlton has launched a special package for the event, which includes access to the gala with Ripert, 90-minute spa treatments, airport transfers, thee nights in an oceanfront suite and a one-hour pickleball lesson, among other inclusions.
If you can’t make it for the gala, you can always attend Ripert’s beloved Cayman Cookout, a gourmet weekend featuring an enviable collection of top chefs, tastings and interactive events.
