Hilton’s New Caribbean All-Inclusive Resort Will Have Beach Bungalows and a Rooftop Pool
It’s been one of the more-anticipated new debuts in the Caribbean this year: the Hilton Zemi Miches All-Inclusive Resort, Hilton’s first-ever all-inclusive resort in the nascent hotspot of Miches, a lush, pristine corner of Samana Bay in the Dominican Republic.
The first news? It won’t actually be opening this fall as planned. The good news? The new Curio Collection Caribbean all-inclusive has an opening date: Feb. 1, 2025.
The 500-room beach resort is taking reservations for stays beginning that date, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.
So what else do you need to know about the property?
For starters, it’s set on the spectacular shoreline of Playa Esmeralda, with more than ten dining concepts and amenities like a wellness center and, importantly for guests with kids, a water park. (Other kids options include daily programming and classes like arts and crafts; a full-service kids club and a teens’ club, too).
Yes, there is also an apia, along with a decent amount of event space (about 10,000 square feet).

What about the rooms? It’s a mix, with options ranging from traditional guest rooms to toes-in-the-sand bungalows.
There will be 20 of the latter, in different sizes: studios, one and two-bedrooms, some with their own plunge pools. They also come with access to the hotel’s elevated “Club Azure,” which gives you private check, an exclusive restaurant and turndown, among other touches.
Club Azure covers more rooms than just the bungalows, however, and gives you access to a dedicated pool and access to a special rooftop “oasis.”

What about pricing?
If you book a stay beginning on the opening date in February, rooms start at $565. That gives you a family tropical view room with one king bed. Want your own plunge pool? That starts at $644 per night.

A beachfront bungalow studio starts at $1,702 per night.
Are you planning a vacation to the Dominican Republic but want to stay in more of an established destination. We’re big fans of the Lopesan Costa Bavaro in Punta Cana. It’s one of the newer properties in the DR, and it’s exceptionally family-friendly, including a very cool concept called the “Boardwalk” that we loved when we stayed there recently.
