The New LIAT Just Launched Its New Flights to the Island of St Vincent
The rainforest, the volcano, the island-hopping, the Caribbean’s strongest rum. St Vincent is on the travel map in a big new way, in large part thanks to the debut of its new Sandals resort.
It’s all shining a new light on the many compelling reasons to visit the island, from its stunning natural environment and ecotourism offering to its world-class sailing.
And the island just welcomed a brand-new flight route, with the launch of regularly-scheduled service to Argyle International Airport from a trio of Caribbean source islands.
That includes Barbados-St Vincent, Antigua-St Vincent and Grenada-St Vincent, all important routes that open up a far larger network of international flights from the US, UK and Canada that fly to those islands.
Of course, while St Vincent has many charms, it’s still most in demand as a jumping-off point to explore the beauty of the Grenadine islands, and the new flights significantly expand that opportunity as well.
LIAT 20, the successor to the former regional carrier, has been steadily expanding its footprint across other region, with St Vincent one of a number of new islands now getting service.
