St Maarten Is Getting More Flights for the Winter Season
The beaches. The restaurants. The shopping. There are many reasons why travelers are flocking to the twin-country island of St Maarten right now.
This winter, it’s going to get even easier to fly to the island’s Princess Juliana International Airport, with a number of carriers ramping up their service.
That includes Air Canada, which is adding a new flight from Montreal to St Maarten and all-business-class airline La Compagnie, which is relaunching its weekly flight between Newark and St Maarten.
Other carriers are adding more to their existing service: Air France will be flying twice daily between Paris and St Maarten, while Silver Airways is increasing its San Juan-St Maarten service to three times per week.
The new flights come as Princess Juliana prepares to unveil its new arrival terminal, which is currently scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of this year.
The airport’s reconstructed departures terminal, which had been shuttered for nearly seven years after being destroyed in Hurricane Irma, is now open and operational.
