Windstar Cruises Has a New Ship Coming Just One Time to the Caribbean. Here’s What You Need to Know.
It’s no secret that small-ship cruises are just about the biggest thing in the Caribbean travel industry right now, as travel agents have been telling our sister publication, Caribbean Travel Advisor.
While newer boutique brands like the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection have been finding renown, the core of the market is smaller ships like Seabourn and Windstar, which have decades of experience in the Caribbean market.
Now Windstar is adding a new ship to the region, with the planned debut of the 112-suite Star Seeker ship late next year.
But here’s the thing, it’s likely coming to the Caribbean for one time only.
Beginning in early 2026, Star Seeker will be sailing out of PortMiami to the Caribbean, with an inaugural cruise that stops in the Dominican Republic and in the British Virgin Islands and concludes in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
That’s one of a number of Caribbean cruises for the ship before it heads on a Panama Canal cruise.
But that’s it, says Windstar President Christopher Prelog.
The ship “will likely not return to the Caribbean again,” he said in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.
So if you’re planning a Star Seeker vacation in the Caribbean, now’s the time to plan.
Right now, the company has prices on all-inclusive plans starting at $4,399. What do you get with a Windstar package? Wi-Fi and unlimited drinks (beer, cocktails wine) with tips at $89 per day.
Prices are per person, so double that for a typical starting fare.
