More Flights Coming Between St Maarten, Curacao
Heading to the Dutch Caribbean’s hottest destination? It’s getting even easier to fly to the island of Curacao, with regional carrier Winair planning an expansion of its flights out of the all-important hub of St Maarten.
Airline officials told Caribbean Journal the company was planning a “significant” increase in service between St Maarten and Curacao. That will mean a total of nine weekly flights between the two Dutch Caribbean countries.
The expanded schedule will take effect Sept. 19, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.
Winair has a strong network of alliances with major airlines, meaning you can fly from US cities that connect to St Maarten then jump on a flight to Curacao.
The airline has been rapidly expanding its network within the wider region in recent years, including recently-announced expansions to several Eastern Caribbean islands.
So what do the new flights cost?
Right now, if you book an itinerary in late-September between St Maarten and Curacao, you’ll probably be paying about $462.70, according to a sample trip booked on Winair’s site.
