At This Saint Lucia All-Inclusive, You Can Train With an Olympic Gold Medalist

By: Guy Britton - September 6, 2024

She’s Saint Lucia’s greatest athlete: Julien Alfred, the sprinter who won the island’s first-ever gold medal at the Paris Olympics last month.

It’s appropriate, then, that he’s the newest partner for a Caribbean resort that’s all about fitness: Saint Lucia’s all-inclusive BodyHoliday resort.

The property has tapped Alfred for a new guest presenter for its wellness program, WellFit.

Alfred will join the resort for one week to host WellFit, giving guests the chance to train with and be trained by an Olympic champion.

“We are incredibly honoured to welcome Julien Alfred to the BodyHoliday family,” said Andrew Barnard, CEO of BodyHoliday. “Julien’s remarkable achievement at the Paris Olympics has not only made her a national hero but also a global inspiration. Her dedication, discipline, and passion align perfectly with our mission to empower our guests to achieve their personal best. We look forward to offering our guests this unique chance to learn from a true champion.”

As part of the partnership, the resort is also supporting Alfred’s foundation, which helps provide support and opportunities for young athletes and underprivileged communities in Saint Lucia.

“I am thrilled to partner with BodyHoliday and share my Olympic journey and training insights with their guests,” said Julien Alfred. “This collaboration is a fantastic opportunity to inspire others on their fitness and wellness journeys while supporting my foundation’s mission to uplift the next generation of athletes and give back to the community.”

The resort hasn’t yet announced the dates of Alfred’s training week, which will be held sometime in 2025.

What will it cost? Starting prices are around $714 per night for a garden view room for two guests.

And yes, it’s all-inclusive, meaning you get access to a host of fitness options, a free daily spa treatment and all meals and beverages.
